Uganda High Commissioner

At the heart of Uganda’s diplomatic presence in Canada is Ambassador Allan Kajik, the Acting Head of Mission and substantive Deputy Head of Mission at the Uganda High Commission in Ottawa, a role he has held since 2014 with unwavering commitment and distinction.

Hailing from Nebbi District, Amb. Kajik is a proud Pan-African and public servant whose journey in governance and diplomacy has been shaped by both academic excellence and real-world experience. His academic portfolio is as impressive as his service: a Master of Science in Public Sector and Organisational Management from Kyambogo University (2019), a Mastery in Public Diplomacy from the University of Ottawa (2025), and a Bachelor’s degree in Public Administration and Management from Nkumba University (2006). He also holds a Certificate in Administrative Law from the Law Development Centre, Kampala.

Amb. Kajik’s career spans pivotal roles in both government and parastatal institutions. He has served as Minister Counsellor at the Uganda High Commission, Administration Manager at the Uganda Electricity Generation Company Ltd., Deputy Resident City Commissioner for Kampala, Assistant Public Relations Officer at the National Medical Stores, and Youth Chairman for Nebbi District. His leadership roots trace back to his days as Guild President at Nkumba University and Uganda’s Representative to the Afro-Arab Youth Council.

A passionate advocate for public diplomacy, peacebuilding, and high-level policy negotiations, Amb. Kajik brings energy, empathy, and expertise to every diplomatic table. His work reflects a vision of a united Africa and a progressive Uganda on the global stage.
Outside of his official duties, he finds joy and balance in family. He is married to Hon. Anite Evelyn, and together they are blessed with two beautiful daughters, Treasure Kajik and Triny Kajik.

As Uganda’s top envoy in Canada, Amb. Kajik continues to embody the spirit of service and unity, championing Uganda’s interests while fostering meaningful international partnerships.
